The Jewish Museum Milwaukee is proud to display “Mildred Fish Harnack: The
Story of a Wisconsin Women’s Resistance” though November 27th.  This exhibit
has helped introduce Mildred Fish Harnack to her hometown and explores the
horrors of Nazi Germany through this local hero.  Starting on *Tuesday,
November 1 at 10:30 AM*, the Museum will be hosting a lecture series that
explores Mildred’s life and legacy through 20th Century Political Movements,
movements that shaped her life.  Acclaimed educator Dr. Sherry Blumberg will
be leading these lectures and exploring the impact of these “–isms” in
Wisconsin and beyond.  Here is our schedule: ****

·        November 1: Progressivism: Seeking New Answers to the Problems of
the First Quarter of the Twentieth Century – What, Where, Who, and the
Issues."****

·        November 15: Milwaukee's Sewer Socialism: Emil Seidel and Victor
Berger, Philosophical and Biblical Basis.****

·        November 29: McCarthyism, Response or Fascism Itself? From Joe
McCarthy to Today: How People's Fear Equated Socialism, Communism and the
Dreams of a Just and Honest Society.****

We hope you can join us for one or more of these lectures; they will take
place at the Jewish Museum Milwaukee (1360 N Prospect Avenue) in the Lower
Level Board Room.  The lectures are free for Museum Members and $5 for
