An International Case For US Regime Change:
International Perspectives on US policies in the Post-September 11th Era

Portsmouth NH - Anna Gyorgy from "Women and Life on Earth" based in
Germany will speak on October 19, Tuesday, 7 pm, at South Church (UU),
292 State St., Portsmouth about international perspectives on US policies
and the upcoming US election. Seacoast Peace Response is sponsoring the
event.

Why has the USA lost so much credibility, affection and international
support since the last election? Why should US voters take action and
turn out on November 2?

Some key reasons for world-wide opposition to the current US leadership:
aggressive and illegal use of military might; support for corporate
control of the world economy; irreversible destruction of the natural
world (climate change, resource plunder) and food supplies (genetically
manipulated).

International examples of how Bush era policies have affected women will
also be presented, and reports on international movements and actions
aimed at building and supporting the "other world" we know is possible.

Anna was active in the anti-nuclear/safe energy movement 1975-1982,
author-editor of the handbook "No Nukes: Everyone's Guide to Nuclear
Power" (1979, 1981) and an
organizer with the Clamshell Alliance against the Seabrook nuclear plants
1976-1978.

Her last trip to the seacoast was with Jesse Jackson and staff during the
1984 primaries, when she worked on environmental issues during his first
presidential campaign.

Anna is a founder of Women And Life On Earth, a group dedicated to "peace
with justice and a healthy future for life on this planet:
ecological-feminism in the 21st century." For more information on this
group, see http://www.womenandlife.org.

Free and open to the public.
