->LIST OF all IMC²S AND DATES

This request is going out to every IMC in the network.

Our apologies for the inevitable cross-posts.

For the last three years we have been working on a Feature length film
documentation project called ³Eye of the Storm² which seeks to discuss and
explain the foundational ideas behind the Indymedia network .Many of you may
have seen the trailer by the same name. If not it may be downloaded here:

We are near the end of that process and are missing two pieces of
information.

The FIRST 

is a list of all the IMC nodes, current or historical and their date of
origin.  We have done our best to create this list ourselves based on server
archives. We are sure that there will be inaccuracies. Please look up your
IMC¹s name and check the date against your own records. OUR LIST IS ATTACHED
AT THE END OF THIS DOCUMENT.

The SECOND

We are also trying to come up with a list of all the incidents of harrasment
to the Independent media centers. . What we are thinking of is along the
lines of 

evictions or shutdowns of meeting spaces. - server shutdowns

cease and desist court orders, - and documentated cases of intimidation
against the group or individuals .

For our purposes, the arrest or beating of a single reporter at a
demonstration would NOT count unless they were singled out specifically from
the other journalists.

What we are looking for here is  a brief sentence or two describing the
event and its general date and or event if relevent( a g8 gathering or
general strike). 

We are starting from scratch  assume we know nothing.-

Les pedimos disculpas si les llega mas de una vez.

Los ultimos 3 años estuvimos trabajando en el largometraje "el ojo de la
tormenta", el cual propone la discusion y la explicacion acerca de las ideas
de base que hay detras del proyecto Indymedia. Algunos quizas hayan visto el
cortometraje que lleva el mismo nombre que el largo. Si no lo vieron pueden

Estamos a punto de terminar el largo y nos estan faltando dos datos
importantes.  

El primero

Es una lista de todos los IMC, que todavia funcionen o no y las fechas de su
creacion. Hicimos lo mejor que pudimos para crear esta lista nostros mismos
basandonos en en los archivos que hay en los servers. Estamos  seguros de
que hay bastantes errores. Por favos observen el nombre de su IMC y chequeen
si la fecha es correcta.

NUESTRA LISTA ESTA INCLUIDA COMO UN ATTACH AL FINAL DE  ESTE DOCUMENTO. SI
NO LA ENCUENTRAN COLOQUENLA DE TODAS FORMAS, YA QUE NO QUEREMOS OLVIDARNOS
DE NADIE!

El Segundo

 Tambien estamos tratando de confeccionar una lista con todos los incidentes
donde los Indymedias hayan sido perseguidos o atacados. Estamos pensando en
terminos de desalojos y clausuras de los espacios de encuentro. Ademas de
problemas con servers y casos documentados de intimidacion en contra de
grupos o individuos.

  Solo nos interesan los casos en que el arresto o golpiza a un reportero de
IMC sea de persecucion especifica en contra de esa persona. Es decir, ese
caso NO   sera incluido o tomado en cuanta si esa persona no fue perseguida
o intimidada   SOLO por ser miembro de IMC

 Lo que estamos proponiendo es que nos envien una o dos frases cortas
describiendo lo que paso, su fecha aproximada y cual era el evento que ese
periodista estaba cubriendo.

Estamos empezando de cero, asi que hagan de cuenta que no sabemos nada de
nada.  Gracias por su participacion.  A todo aquel que responda le llegara
un copia de la compilacion con los  resaultados obtenidos.

Nous envoyons ceci à chaque IMC dans le réseau. Nous sommes désolés si vous
le recevez plus qu¹une fois.

Pour les dernieres trois années nous avons travaillé sur un film qui
s¹appelle ³l'Oeil de l'Orage² qui discute et explique les idées fondatrices

On a presque terminé le long-metrage, mais il nous manquent deux choses
importantes: 

PREMIEREMENT Nous avons besoin d'une liste de tous centres de IMC, ceux qui
existent toujours o pas, et leur date d'origine. Nous avons essayé de créer
cette liste avec les archives de serveur. Nous savons qu'il y aura des
inexactitudes. S'il vous plaît regarde le nom de votre IMC et vérifie la
date. NOTRE LISTE EST ATTACHEE A LA FIN DE CE DOCUMENT.

SECONDE Nous voulons faire une liste de tous les incidents dans lequel les
gens de IMC ont été attaquée ou persécuté.. Par exemple, les expulsions ou
les fermetures des espaces de réunion. Aussi des problemes avec les
serveurs, - et les cas d'intimidation contre le groupe ou les individus.

Il nous intéressent seulement les cas dans lequel la prise ou l'assaut d'un
journaliste de IMC était en particulierement contre IMC.

Nous voudrons une phrase ou deux décrirant l'événement et sa date générale
(la protestion générale de g8).

Nous commençons dès le début  imaginez que nous ne savons rien.- Merci pour

ENGLISH NOTES:
For simplicity¹s sake we are using only the IMC;s that appear on the global
page- and identify their first open post as the time of ³origin² -though of
course we know the process begins much earlier.  Places like Brazil and
Italy which are even further decentralized into smaller groups and don¹t
appear on the global site should be generalized to the oldest date of the
oldest collective.

If you are not exactly sure of the precise date- rounding off to the week or
month is fine. If you are not on the list- but are currently online and
active- please inform us.

 Some historical sites are included as well.

ESPANOL NOTAS
Para que sea mas simple solo usaremos los IMC que aparecen en la pagina
global hasta el primero de diciembre de 2004 y que identifiquen como fecha
de cracion aquella en la que se haya publicado su primera noticia -aunque
sabemos que todo el proceso se inicia con mucha anticipacion. IMCs como los
de Brasil e Italia, que son muy descentralizadops y estan organizados en
pequeños colectivos seran generalizados con respecto a la fecha de cracion
del colectio de trabajo mas antiguo de ese pais.

Si no estan seguros de la fecha precisa de creacion pueden mandarnos la
semana   o el mes en que se creo el IMC.

Algunos sitios historicos tambien estan incluidos
