As a side issue, and as I am trying as much as possible to be partisan
between some strongly conflicting interests, I feel we need to respond
to the massive number of requests for moderation and I will be going
through each event now which has received such a request and applying
the editorial guidelines to each to the best of my ability.
I feel this is right to do so as we have decided upon these as a
collective, along with the process of user reporting which makes us more
inclusive beyond the meeting attending collective, and also these tasks
are integral to the upkeep of the principles of unity which all
indymedias have collectively agreed. People who wish to object to any
form of moderation I apply are quite welcome to do so and the reasons
for moderation will be clearly stated on the imc-northern-moderation list.
Anyone who wishes to have input on the editorial guidelines are welcome
to do so at one of our open and public meetings
I propose that any objections to moderation (should there be any) should
take place within 48 hours of moderation with a clear reason being given
as to why it is felt there is no breach of the editorial guidelines.
