Oh, forgot to say. If we decide to meet elsewhere can we not post or discuss it on this list but rather text each other or do it on crabgrass or something.

I really find it hard to believe that the EDL have planned to disrupt our meeting. We are just not a big of enough target for them and well beyond their immediate political remit, for now at least.

Personally...and on the basis of no concrete information
whatsoever...I doubt this threat originates with EDL.
I feel it has probably come from a crank. Either a crank has called
the police, or a crank
within the police has called the
university...or a crank at the university has leaned on the union.
I don't know enough about the internal relations at the university to
know whether having a meeting which they have asked us not to have
will have repercussions which we would wish to avoid - I'll take
advice from people in Leeds about that.
At least if we have it somewhere else because of flakiness at the uni
we have a small story to run...
