[Imc-nottingham] help needed with notts indymedia events

Hello people,

There are various events coming up that Notts Indymedia have been invited
to, to come and promote our project by a stall, talk or other ways.

Under here is an overview of the events. Please get in touch if you’re
interested and we can get together to sort something out. It would be good
to know ASAP about what we do, as our contribution to some events needs
changes and bookings made by their organisers.

Tue 10th May

Art exhibition to enquire into the relationship between artist and
community. Taking place in a number of community centres around
Nottingham: Lenton Community Centre, Sneinton Hermitage Community Centre,
TRACS (sneinton) This exhibition runs from 10th May to 2nd June. Opening
event on 10th May 5.30 at Lenton community centre and 7pm at Crocus cafe
with music, performance and video.

Wed 11th May

Lecture at Trent University, York House. Invited by the media studies
lecturer. Possibly showing film, introducing Indymedia Network and getting
a discussion together about the need/importance of independent media.

Lecturer from Nottingham University has invited us to come and do a talk
about Indymedia at the politics Department or something. He’ll get back in
touch with us about possible dates.

Sat. 21st May

'Routerbam' a festival of art, music and performance in the arboretum on
Saturday 21st May. To bring students, local residents and people visiting
Nottingham together sharing the space of the park and enjoying the
entertainment. We would do a stall here, or something else in the park, if
we come up with something. Set up at 9 on that Saturday and must be
finished by 11.30, the event runs from 12noon-6pm. Vehicle access in the
morning.
