Hey IMC NYC

I' writing an article (for the newspaper of Rote Fabrik Zürich, 
Switzerland. Rote Fabrik is one of the main alternative cultural and 
political houses) about american left-of-mainstream-medias. I hope you 
can help me and let me look through your eyes by answering a few 
questions ;) main idea is to give people a view on some "other usa", 
means an overview on alternative (non-mainstream; left-wing) medias. 
You'll see how much you want to answer. I explicitely don't ask you as 
indymedia, but as hopefully interested people in media as a general 
thing.

- which non-mainstream-medias (name/typ) do people in your state 
consume?
-which of them can you recommend (and why)?
-how high is the attention for such media-products generally?
-do any of them work on commercial basis?

hey, I'd be very thankful if anyone of you guys could take ten minutes 
and write me back. if even today, that would be great ;)
