[IMC-NYC-Editorial] PROPOSAL: Re: new web/general lists,
patrick at indymedia.org
Thu Mar 31 12:20:19 PST 2005
Please see below:
Following up on Chris' proposal: If no one responds with concerns or
questions, I will work to setup what he proposed in the next few days.
Here's the proposal, with my friendly amendments:
1) Setup a new list for the web working group, titled
imc-nyc-web at lists.indymedia.org. Only web working group members will be
members of this list, although of course the archives will be public.
Chris will initiate the Roll Call.
The current web group/list members will be those that come to the mir
upgrade meeting, and are committed to nyc.indy labor (i.e., setting
editorial policy, admin'ing, moderating, selecting features, etc.).
Any imc organizer can send suggestions to this list, of course, but less
need for cross-posting, as most web people will be members of the new
general imc list (see below).
2) imc-nyc-tech and imc-nyc-editorial will be graveyarded, with archives
still available (easier than merging archives).
3) All active members of the tech and editorial lists will be moved to the
resurrected imc-nyc general discussion list, which will be members-only
posting, to cut down on spam. Anyone can join this list.
