Dear Stonewallers and Shower Singers,
How do you hold a moon beam in your hand? How do you climb every mountain?
How do you attract a lonely goatherd? What are a few of your favorite
things--warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with string?
Find out on Sunday afternoon, March 5th, right here in OKC at Ingrid's
Kitchen and the OKC Art Museum. Ingrid's is at 3701 N Youngs Blvd, Oklahoma
City, 73112, just west of 36th and Penn, or east of 36th and May in OKC.
Here's the deal: Ingrid's has Sunday brunch, 11am-2pm, for $11.95, buffet
style.
An anonymous benefactor has offered to provide 10 free tickets for the movie
sing-along on Sunday afternoon to current Stonewall Democrats members and
new people who join Sunday. Stonewall Membership is $25 for a year's worth
of good times combined with Democratic action for gay/lesbian equality. If
more people show up we can get more free tickets.
Showing up at Ingrid's and wearing your costume, as elaborate or as simple
as you want, reflecting something from Sound of Music, are the only
requirements.
So far, this booking in OKC is a 2006 exclusive to North America: it's now
or never.
Call me, DON'T EMAIL, with your firm reservation, 405-843-365, so we'll know
how many tickets to buy.

The "Sing-a-long" Sound of Music
The Sound of Music is one of the most beloved American musicals ever
written. It won five Academy Awards in 1966 including Best Picture. To cap
off this year's OscarR Tune-Up we present this special "sing-a-long" version
of the film. This is your chance to test your vocal range with several
hundred other assorted nuns, Von Trapp family members and Julie Andrews
look-a-likes.
The event begins with instructions on how to use your "magic moments" goodie
bag, a vocal warm-up, and a costume competition with prizes. Costumes are
highly recommended and you will be amazed at the inventiveness on display.
Then, you sit back and watch the original 1965 movie in glorious Technicolor
with the lyrics for all the songs on the screen, so you won't miss a chance
to sing your heart out. The audience takes over as the star of the show from
this point and almost anything can happen! Director: Robert Wise 1965 USA
174min.
