"Find out just what people will quietly submit to, and you have found out
the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them, and
these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows. The
limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they
oppress."--Frederick Douglass, African-American slave, and abolitionist

When ideology and theology couple, their offspring are not always bad but
they are always blind--Bill Moyers, American journalist

February 2, 2005--"Today is Groundhog Day and the State of the Union
Address. It is an ironic juxtaposition: one involves a meaningless ritual in
which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication --
and the other involves a groundhog."--Air America Radio.

www.oklahomastonewall.org is currently under the weather, but it's under
doctor's care and will return in the near future.

But don't let the NSA catch you reading this post! Some LGBT groups are

Its the first week of January, and already Stonewall Democrats are taking
action. In the last three days, five openly-gay Democrats have been elected
to lead legislative bodies while a sixth was named as a State Senator in
Arizona.

Feel the momentum! Our members are going to make 2006 a banner year for
Democrats and equal rights across the country.

Bush Administration Spies on LGBT Groups

The muck continues to surface over the Bush Administration's domestic spy
scheme. In late December, it was learned that the administration was spying
on LGBT organizations. The Bush Administration went so far as to label gay
college students kissing outside a military recruiting office as a
"credible threat" to national security.
