Some IMCs have ruled that "comment on this article" means exactly that, 
and abusive comments against another poster are not allowed.  This goes 
some way toward stopping pointless flame wars like this.  Commenting on 
IMC is meant for clarifying and correcting articles, not having a 
discussion forum.

We still don't have any guidelines on "what is a troll".  Posters like 
Jim carefully skirt the existing ones, but a troll is still a troll.

Another idea that's got some support is to move comments off the article 
page onto a separate discussion page, but no-one's come forward yet with 
both the time and skill to implement this in Mir.

Until it does get implemented, trolls like Jim and Roger can happily 
wreck any article they feel like.
