Hi all!!
Just received this from one of our usual sources. I was hoping to go to the
Hack Lab at 8.00pm - anybody any suggestions about lifts etc? I forget how
long it takes to get back from Fairford, but would love to do both if poss.
Incidentally, note that Dan Plesch was incredibly accurate with his
forecasts about the consequences of the war on Iraq (he was/is a Senior
Fellow or similar at RUSI).
Cheers
Eileen

At last night's Oxon Peace Campaign, we acknowledged a concern, from
information from credible people like Dan Plesch, that the US was thinking
of bombing Iran's nuclear facilities in June. This, together with the
knowledge that the new hangars for stealth bombers have been made ready in
record time, that several footpaths around the base have been extinguished
and that double yellow lines have been put on all roads surrounding the
base, made us worried that Fairford might once again be used for this
projected bombing.

We are writing to MP's to ask for reassurances that UK bases will not be
used again for such bombings.
But we also felt that we need to be prepared and to meet this Sunday by the
Church at Fairford at 5.30pm to do a recce of the base and remaining
footpaths etc.

People from Faringdon and, hopefully other areas like Stroud and Swindon may
be there. It would be good to have lots of us well acquainted with how
things are.

Please spread the word,
