I'm all for cool rounded corners etc etc.
However could I ask people to remember that a major aim of the website is
OUTREACH.
There are probably only a couple of dozen people who use Indymedia currently
who have even heard of open source. Who is Indymedia for? Geeks only?
I realize this question of the aims of the website/Indymedia is a recurrent
one. I hope we'll one day sort out whether we're aiming for a technological
elite/activist ghetto-type audience or giving Oxfordshire people more
generally the opportunity to create a news facility that'll make up for the
faults and deficits of the mainstream media, and have an empowering effect
on them in the process. I know which I want to see..
Meanwhile, needless to say, many thanks to Vincent for his hard work.
Cheers
Eileen
