Meeting of 4 December, 2004

Present: Quinten, Dan, Matt, David, Nicole

Agenda:
Capital Purchases
Producing an RNC 2 DNC DVD
Jan. 16th Newsreal

We consensed to making the following purchases with the assistance of 
Students for Independent Media at CMU:

2 120 gig hard drives @ $88/ea , 1 firewire drive enclosure

We also consensed to research the following capital purchases and purchase 
if a good price is found:

A good quality (grounded?) phone patch
A broadcast-quality microphone -- likely a SM58 or Electrovoice
A video camera tripod ($50-75 range)
10 mini-dv tapes

Quinten will research a phone patch
Nicole and David will research a tripod

RNC2DNC DVD production

(Austin?) IMC has source DV tapes for the RNC2DNC documentary, "Walking By 
Asking". Pittsburgh has DVD production skills. Would we be willing to 
front shipping costs to send DV tapes to Pittsburgh?

Decision: we will cover the exact shipping costs for 3 dv tapes -- the DV 
master, and two possible extras. David will follow up.

Jan. 16th screening

Matt has a room for 2 PM on Jan 16th, the Adamson Wing at CMU

What are we going to show? "Smoking Out the Evildoers" is pretty awful

Decision: we will show "People, United" and the full-length version of the 
RNC2DNC doc instead of the 6 minute version.

Workshops:
- Photo (Quinten)
- Video (David+?)
- Radio (Matt)

Press:
Quinten will send faxes, etc. David will send his press list to Quinten.

Quinten will contact local businesses to request donations of food.

Dan will make a poster advertising the event.
