Rustbelt Radio is hosting a Community Media Event this Sunday May 7th at 7PM at the Thomas Merton Center (5125 Penn Ave.). Prometheus Radio Project will lead the workshop and will focus on the fight for community radio, and current trends and bends in spectrum policy.
There will also be:
* a hands on workshop to build wifi antennas out of cans (slight donation asked to defray costs if you want to keep one)
* movies about a radio barnraising in Tennessee and community radio in Tanzania
Prometheus Radio is a group that builds not-for-profit, community radio stations all over the world. Learn more about them at http://www.prometheusradio.org
Prometheus Radio are planning a variety of roadtrips this summer, including a big one across Pennsylvania, and hope to hook up with any interested community radio supporters and low power radio applicants during visits to the region.
