right, so that's a weird feature of sf-active
which mysteriously kicked in when we switched
to the local/global/breaking newswires ...
you'll notice it doesn't happen on the breaking newswire.

we're looking into it, i think most everyone
agrees that it really isn't very useful to do
that (unless there are like hundreds of comments or
something)
