     RADIO
     - no producer for last show (jason, matt out of town). no producer 
=>
     no show
     - that didn't stop m & c, who did interviews w/JATO and ISM folks
     - meir & chris are editing that stuff for a subsequent broadcast
     - WRCT certified producer is needed. chris will get trained,
     eventually; matt is working getting trained. it was suggested that
     since danny sleator just went thru the wrct training, perhaps he 
could
     produce the show until chris or matt are certifiable.
     - something about $30 for something...i'm not sure what. it's only
     money.
     - radio policy for radio group was approved...policy will posted to 
web
     shortly.
     - imc can stream mp3 and ogg, quinten is investigating darwin 
streaming server

     VIDEO
     - collective in formation
     - ftaa video in works
     - list created (imc-pgh-video)
     - production/activism workshop on 8.16 (will be conducted by dm & 
mary)
     - imc has a broken video-8. good heavens.

     TECH
     - q & m are setting up different computers for different tasks, most
     should be ready by 8.16
     	- video
     	- audio
     	- photography
     	- writing
     	- databases (so visitors to 1877 can access academic databases)

     EDITORIAL
     - policy need to address things like the scary george bush poster &
     anti-semitic/racist piece
     - racism policy was already approved -- it needs to be added to web 
site
     - need policy toward counterfactuals involving violence. or maybe 
just
     counterfactuals.

     OUTREACH
     - 8.14 Sterne & company
     - 8.16 daytime workshops; evening open-house, concert, screenings.
     - tentative list of workshops:
     -video production/activism (d & mary)
     - tech (q & mat
     - photography (q)
     - radio: technical (meier and chris)
     - media literacy (andy)

     FINANCE
     - laura, andy, meier (andy soon to go bye-bye)

     PROPOSALS
     - how to deal with info at indypgh? monitored by a wheel, forwarded to
     approriate committee
     - andy going awol soon; need to redistribute some of his
     responsibilities
     	- newsreel: new working group and imc list formed)
     	- mailbox (key, check box at oakland p.o.): these need to be turned 
over
     to someone else...no volunteers today
     	- finance: checkbook in john harold's name; maybe change to laura
     	- imc-pgh-reporting: mary will take over
     - group decided to participate in Media Democracy Day ("MDD" -- see
     www.mediademocracyday.org). group consented to hold workshops (ala 
A18)
     on MDD. a new listerv (imc-pgh-mdd) will be created to float other
     ideas. one concrete proposal for MDD is to create lpfm station that
     will be turned on on MDD; the decision to do so was deferred pending
     more investigation into the costs of setting it up.
     - the need to get more people involved w/IMC was also discussed. it 
is
     hoped that the imc august extravaganza will increase imc visibility,
     hence participation. the need for more extensive outreach, 
particularly
     once the fall semester starts, was also pointed out.
