Ok, at this point I'm really not clear on what exactly is going on.

Are we discussing if the comments should be linked into the front page
or not?

Are we discussing the structure of the collective?

I understand that the latter does need more discussing, but after
the initial spawning of it, I'm not sure why we can't reseparate
the two issues and continue discussing the latter while coming to
a conclusion on the former.

Or am I missing some point?
