My first thought was, yes, of course. In looking over what was written,
though, I was struck by "$7 an hour for those who can register 5-7 voters
an hour." The meaning of this isn't clear to me- if you register fewer
than the threshhold # of voters, do you not get paid for the hour? I
don't think we've come to any consensus as to whether we're responsible
for verifying legitimacy, but if there is any chance that something
involves unfair labor practices, I'd want *not* to post it. Can you ask
the person for clarification on how payment works?
>From what I've read, ACORN is an organization that has done a lot of good,
but I also seem to recall reading something somewhere (one of the IMCs?)
about ACORN and some unreasonable labor practices. I'm pretty sure what I
read wasn't specfically about the local one, but that makes me want a
little more info.
If the policies of the local one seem okay wrt pay and so on, I'd be okay
with running it.
