Hello Brentin

If you'd like to get in contact with the person who posted, your best bet
would be to post on the site (most likely as a comment to the original
story) asking her/him to get in touch with you if s/he feels comfortable
doing so (although, as you noted, I wouldn't count on that). Since we
don't log IPs, the IMC doesn't know who posted that information, so we
have no way of putting you in touch even if it were in line with policy,
which it wouldn't be.

As far as our comment on the situation is concerned, the best we can
really do is refer you to our longtime policies concerning what can be
published on our website. Our editorial policy can be found here:
http://www.indypgh.org/process/openpub.php

We as a collective are not responsible for the content of the newswire --
we simply operate as a tool for others to publish on the internet. Since
the post in question doesn't fall into any of the categories enumerated
for posts that can be hidden from view on the site, it remains up. None of
the information posted is anything more or less than public information.
What the county does regarding its assessment website has no effect on us
as an organization, and as a result, we essentially have no comment on the
matter.

That's about all there is to say, as far as we can tell, but if you'd like
to talk more, or more directly, feel free to contact me off-list (either
at this email address or at amulkerin at gmail dot com) and I can speak
more or give you my phone number.

Best of luck
