to edwin,

not because we are not from the left org BAYAN, you
would assume that we dont have a credible activist
qualities if we are going to dissect your logical
framework of defining as BAYAN individuals as people
that shows their track record as an activist that is
capable of bringing tons of interesting content and
expertise regarding the indymedia project. sad to say,
your assumption is elitist.

yes we are not from BAYAN and we are proud of it. but
damn, the mainstream leftist activism of BAYAN is
already decadent, considering the fact that their idea
of alliances is nothing but a consolidation of their
own hierarchical organizational sectors and class
collaboration with the national bourgeoisiee. they
cannot even forge a tactical unity between their
leftist rivals such as KPD, BMP, SANLAKAS, etc in
matters of defending the class interest of the working
people against the onslaught of globalization.

so, how can they say that they have the credibility of
practicing mutual-cooperation and practice consensus
among the autonomous individuals inside the Quezon
City (manila group) indymedia working group?

we already had past hostile experiences with the
mainstream left BAYAN in many aspects in dealing with
them particularly in engaging with them in street
protest actions. our small anarchist movement is
always marginalised by them in the streets by accusing
us as agent provocateurs and renegades because we dont
have any centralized command unlike them, whenever we
confront the state police in our direct action
tactics.

so it is imposible for them to practice autonomy,
mutual-aid and consensus based on the historical
material bases of their character as maoist-left.
--------------------------

to bonne,

yes, pluralism is a good idea but it's good only for a
superficial power relation when we will compromise
ourselves into the others authority. in short, there
is no such thing as a plurality when the power
struggle is present, and the reason why there is a
presence of power struggle it is because there is a
possibility of coercing authoritarian hegemony among
the marginalised individuals.

to make your point more relevant and practical,
decentralization is appropriate in resolving the
problematic framework of a centralized authoritarian
body.

isn't it more realistic if we'll organize ourselves
into a union of collectives rather than a centralized
local indymedia organization? for example, organizing
imc-cebu will not be a complicated matter for you
there if there is no centralized structure of local
indymedia organizing which is always prone to
bureaucracy because of its hierarchical composition.
in short, decentralized organizing is easier than
going into the process of a hierarchical structure of
organizing. remember, indymedia is not a PARTY or an
ORGANIZATION, it is a union of autonomous local
indymedia networks.

in fact, you can organize now there in cebu a
local/regional indymedia without the presence of our
authority here in manila. and after you get organized,
let us build and connect ourselves into networks based
on mutual-aid and cooperation.

that is why, it is more better if we take IMC-MANILA
rather than IMC-PILIPINAS.

------------------------------
SOME RANTS:

but the decadent left has their own hostile
terminology for this kind of organizing. they call
this as "DIVISIONISM"(decentralization) and
"SPLITISM"(factionalism) therefore it is
counter-revolutionary aspect for them. it must be
purged and liquidated just like as what they did with
their fellow red comrades who get critical and raised
questions against maoist-leftism. so, what's the
price? they killed them. poor leftists, they are like
a corpse machine.

what is revolutionary for the people is
counter-revolutionary for them. god, damn leftists.

love and rage,
JONG PAIREZ (imc-manila volunteer)
