The Center for Asia Pacific Women in Politics (CAPWIP) <http://www.capwip.org/><http://www.capwip.org/>  is a non-partisan, non-profit and non-governmental regional organization dedicated to promoting equal participation of women in politics, governance and decision-making.  CAPWIP is happy to announce the 9th “Making Governance Gender Responsive” (MGGR) training course, which will be held at the Asian Institute of Management Conference Center (ACCM)  <http://www.accm.aim.edu.ph/>in the Philippines on 23-30 July 2009. We have decided that this will only be the MGGR training in 2009 and hope you will consider joining it. 
 
Making Governance Gender Responsive (MGGR) <http://www.capwip.org/training/mggr.htm> is a generic course that can be adapted and modified to suit the needs of the different countries.  Specifically, the participants are expected to:
 
§	Enhance their understanding of Gender and Development (GAD), and     governance concepts.  
§	Gain appreciation of gender-related and governance issues, and concerns.
§	Identify gender biases in governance. 
§	Acquire skills in identifying and analyzing gender biases and concerns through case examples of strategies and practices to address gender biases. 
§	Identify gender biases in the participant's sphere of influence - A Change Management Approach. 
§	Formulate Action Plans: Institutional and Individual.
