-To provide choice in our media, especially in kamloops
-counterbalance extremely conservative media in this city
-will cement indy media in the area, and enable kamloops to act as a hub for surrounding areas
-to explore issues that are not being covered in kamloops
-facilitate awareness of local events that may not be covered by conventional media
-counter inherent censorship in our media
-to give a voice to marginalized people

resources:
-technical skills
-can donate server space, and \"unlimited bandwidth\" for storage of large files
-filming skills
-digital camera, sound recording equipment
-organizing skills
-enthusiasm
-will be contributing financially to vancouver indymedia server 

outreach:
-sent out initial organizing email, and gathered a diverse group of people with fruitful discussion
-also identified potential others that are sure to be interested
-sent out an email to the native youth movement
-going to contact the kamloops immigrant services
-going to contact local chapter of amnesty international
-planning on contacting local high schools

We have a 
-Mom and who is on the board of the gay and lesbian association, even though she has a boyfriend.
-Married office worker, looking to break the status quo and effect some change in the area.
-Have students from local highschools and universitys
-Have experienced activists, as well as eager newcomers
-unitarian churchgoers, agnostics, open minded christians, new agers, and everything in between is represented
-males and females equally represented in our group

steps_represent_diversity:
-interview margininalized people, and get their point of view on issues.
-talk to groups such as the first nations student associations.
-provide success stories of people that have beat the system


steps_involve_new_workfields:
We are more than willing to conduct workshops, in order to ensure that every member of Kamloops IMC is proficient in technical skills.
