[IMC-Process] IMC Kashmir dead?

Hi,

first of all, by now, this email is only written in a single language,
but I'm offering to send a german translation upon request. It is sent
by an individual, not an IMC, but an individual acting for the Listwork
working group (even though I have to admit that there has not been
discussion on this topic on listwork before, but I am just assuming that
nobody would mind and rather support this email).

I realized today that what used to be the IMC Kashmir website back in
2004 [1] (and probably later) has been defaced [2], as well as several
other websites on the same server [3].

Unfortunately, the IMC Kashmir mailing list [4] has not built a thread
since May 2003. A few single line posts were made in the meantime, where
people tried to get in touch, but did not seem to receive a response.
The last such email was sent in June 2005. Since then, the list has
received nothing but spam.

The domain name listed on the Contact DB [5], kashmir-indymedia.org, is
not currently registered [6]. This IMC is not listed on the (IMC
websites' sidebar) city list, but it is stored in the database as an IMC
which requested to join (but apparently never went through the new-imc
process).

For all of the above reasons, personally, I would consider this IMC to
be inoperative. This is sad, but it's the impression I get.

I therefore suggest to IMC process to get their own impression on
whether or not this IMC is still active, and, if not, to ask Listwork to
deactivate the imc-kashmir mailing list after a certain period has
passed and its admin, whom I'm CC'ing as well as the indymedia.info
registrant, have not been back to IMC process at
imc-process at lists.indymedia.org on this.
