I visited your site today (which is where I got your email address) and it's a great site.

I hope I don't sound like a Know-It-All, but I have just a few ideas. Please, if these are things you have already done then please disregard this email. First, list your site in the www.dmoz.org directory. This is without question the most important step when desiring more traffic to your site.
DMOZ is an open directory, which means many other directories get their content directly from DMOZ, so being listed in DMOZ is like being listed in many web directories. Go to www.dmoz.com/help/submit.html find out how to list your site.

My second suggestion is to get listed in www.searchmonster.org. They also have an open directory (though much smaller) that is used in many other websites, but they also have many other tools you can use to promote your site. Tools like Link Exchange program, Posting Articles, and Web Reviews, to name a few.

Both of these directories have free listings. Getting your site listed in DMOZ can be dificult and it could take more than a year--again I must it's worth the trouble. The free listing for searchmonster is easier and quicker, but requires a reciprocal link. Their premium listing does not require a reciprocal link and you get access to more tools. You should probably look at both options to decide which is right fot you (www.searchmonster.org/index.php?id=225 for more info).

Third, become a member of a webmaster forum like www.webmasterworld.com . You will find great resources to help in your endeavors. Learn what other website owners are doing to drive traffic to their site.

Fourth, remember that you never get a second chance at making a first impression. When a visitor comes to your site, they make an immediate decision if this site deserves a second click. Now please don't think I'm being negative here, but if you are looking to give your site a fresh new look or you have a need for professional and personalized assistance then you should visit www.kinkeadweb.com and read about their services.

I sincerely hope this will be of assistance to you.

Keep up the good work,
David

P.S. In case you are curious, the site I was visiting was http://qc.indymedia.org/process/contact.php.
I did not get your email address from a mailing list and I don't have plans to send you any more emails, so there is no need to request to be removed from my mailing list.
