Immediate need for a locally-based video journalist in Denver. We seek

a versatile video journalist to shoot on-street and sit-down market

research interviews. Journalism and interviewing experience a must, as

are technical skills, professional attitude and appearance, and

reliability. For the right person, it's a hoot, for the wrong one it's

torture (be kind to yourself and don't even apply). ON-STREETS: You're

a one-person band with your three-chip professional-grade DV camera,

external shotgun mic, and on-camera pop-light. You must be willing and

able to approach most anyone, without fear, and with a smile.

SIT-DOWNS: We have pre-arranged interviews in offices or homes, you

need a quality light kit. Again, you're usually a one-man band, though

occasionally there's call for a PA. Candidates must own their equipment

(we often need shoots that very day) and a cell phone. Payment for

on-street interviews is per interview and averages $45-$65 per hour and

more for video journalists with skill and initiative. Sit-down

interviews are paid on a competitive day-rate basis. Please apply to
