Help Put Democracy now on the air in all of Monroe County

WGCE, a community television station which currently runs of over the air on channel 6 has had discussions with Democracy Now about the possibility of running DN on over the air television throughout  the Monroe County area. Democracy Now has give us permission to run DN over the air . In the near future WGCE will be switching to a digital signal running on channel 25. The new channel will provide county wide coverage of WGCE's signal. This means that every TV viewer in Monroe County many who don't have cable or don't have a public access channel that runs it, will have access to democracy now WGCE. Since WGCE receives no public funding we are looking for community support to defray the costs of running Democracy now. WGCE is also committed to developing community programming which includes voices not generally heard on local TV. We are looking for community groups to develop programming especially public affairs programming for possible broadcast on WGCE.
