Thanks, KSKQ for bringing us David Rovics and Attila!

Does anyone know if the Independent Media Week
resolution has been delivered to the Mayor's Office?

If we want to reach people who don't come to Rogue
Indy meetings, we ought to write up an announcement
about Independent Media Week soon and post it at Rogue
Indy, I think. Why wait until the mayor considers
signing it or until we're trying to muster a crowd to
go to the City Council meeting. 

Maybe we're missing an opportunity to email out word
of this all over the valley and find participants
outside of Ashland.

Finally responding to Jason (see below), thanks for
your work and KSKQ involvement. It would be exciting
to have David Barasimian visit during that week. Any
update that you're at liberty to share?

Hello, here is a follow-up on my meeting with KSKQ
regarding
activities for Independent Media Week....

KSKQ has agreed to join in supporting the
reaffirmation of Independent
Media Week by Ashland City Council and Mayor.  However
we want to
follow-up on this, KSKQ has our support.

KSKQ has agreed to join Rogue IMC and Media Collective
in their
efforts during the week, including tabling at Earth
Day.  Let me or
Connie at KSKQ/Multicultural Center know what costs
might be
involved..

David Barsamian will be available for an event during
independent
media week.  We are trying to schedule an event for
Friday. 
Barasimian is the founder and director of Alternative
Radio, a
Boulder, Colorado-based syndicated weekly talk program
heard on some
125 radio stations in various countries.

We discussed other possible events for the week.  does
anyone have
ideas or suggestions?
