Provocative profile of Arab news network Al Jazeera's
coverage of the war in Iraq. Asks the question are we
radicalizing or stabilizing the Arab world. Filmmaker
discussion to follow, hosted by Center for Middle East, U of
U College of Communications and SLC Film Center

Know Bush: Launching Facts That Shock & Awe, a One Person Patriot Act.
After filling her head with NPR, political bestsellers and Google searches,
a Salt Lake City working mom and occasional actress dares to affect the most
important election in history from her home computer in this Republican Red
state. Anonymous emails of well-verified facts, amidst the absurd multiple
tasking life of every woman, journalists afraid of lynching, and a country
blinded by terror, unveil our chance to bring democracy (back) to a

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO BUSH: by William Karel
A French perspective and film by William Karel in
collaboration with Eric Laurent author of La Guerre des Bush
and Le Monde Secret de Bush (Editions Plon)
Eight years apart, George Bush and his son, George W. Bush,
have succeeded each other at the head of the world's most
powerful nation. An unprecedented phenomenon in American
history. The key events of the last twelve years have taken
place during their terms in office: the collapse of the
Soviet empire and the Communist bloc, the first Gulf War,
the events of September 11, the globalisation of terrorism
and the new conflict with Baghdad.

new book, OPEN SPACE FOR DEMOCRACY at the King's English Bookshop

AFGHANISTAN UNVEILED: a film made by Afghani women
Hosted by KUED, Diverse Voices, SLC Film Center and the YWCA.

Coming to UVSC on Oct. 20
Speaks at 12 noon in the McKay Events Center, UVSC.

THE POLITICAL LIFE OF DR. SUESS (54 minutes)
Directed by Ron LaMothe. In celebration of UEA, this film
salutes the biography of Dr. Suess.

Brewvies - SLC Film Center offers a free preview screening.
A scathing look at Kenneth Starr and his systemic attack of
the Clinton administration. Based on NYT best selling book

schedule Based on a book by Texas reporters James C. Moore
and Wayne Slater, who appear prominently in this movie
adaptation, "Bush's Brain" recounts the rise of Mr. Rove,
the president's chief political adviser, from geeky Utah
Olympus High roots to West Wing perch.
