  Concerned Utahns for a Healthy Future   flew a lawyer and his clients, a
young family, in from Texas to speak at  a press conference  today about
their lawsuit against Hunstman Chemical, who are responsible for at least
10% of Jon Huntsman's campaign donations. Their 18 month old cannot leave
their home which is filled with HEPA filters in each room without having an
asthma attack. 

 
 P eople  are asked to go to the debate tonight at 7 p.m.at the Rose Wagner
Theater, 138 West 300 South,  in Salt Lake City with home made signs with
such slogans as:
 
"What about Port Arthur, Texas?"
"Remember Kaylee"
"No corporate cronies in the Governor's office"
"We need to breathe, not a silver spoon"
"Is Utah next?"
 
Concerned Utahns for a Healthy Future is concerned that Jon Huntsman is
beholden to those chemical company contributors who are poisoning Texans and
won't fight to keep our environment clean (such as stopping renewed nuke
testing, nuke waste shipments going through Utah, and the bio-chem testing
in Dugway).

"USA PATRIOT Act" before the film. 


Just 45 days after the September 11 attacks, and with virtually no debate,
Congress passed the USA PATRIOT Act. Touted as legislation necessary to
protect Americans from terrorists, the Patriot Act is in fact being used to
prosecute ordinary Americans in non-terrorist situations. 


This film tells the frightening stories of how this legislation has caught
innocent citizens in its predatory web. 

More than 300 communities in 41 states have passed resolutions in opposition
to the Patriot Act. Hundreds more are joining the fight.
