Humanity For Homeless Halts Monday Night Meal
Weekly Feeding Program in Santa Cruz Comes to an End

Tim Rumford writes: "It has been a sad and difficult time for me. During possibly the most important time in the war on poverty, I have had to stop the feeding program due to health reasons. I simply cannot do the physical part any longer. I am searching for help. Help comes easy, volunteers have come and gone who want to serve food, but volunteers who will really step up and pick up the food weekly and serve it is a different story.

San Jose Judge Tells Military to Discharge UCSC Grad Within 15 Days

Robert Zabala, a UC Santa Cruz alumni currently living in San Jose, is finally receiving his release from the U.S. Marines. They had previously denied his Conscientious Objector application, filed in 2004. On Tuesday, April 3, a federal judge in San Jose ordered the Marines to discharge him within 15 days. Central Coast Compassionate Caregivers Raided by Federal Agents
Morro Bay Cannabis Association Raided by FBI, DEA, INTERPOL and Sheriffs

Mike K. writes: "I am the assistant manager of the Morro Bay Co-op and was present right as the raid was conducted yesterday (March 29, 2007). The federal agents included FBI, DEA, INTERPOL and Sheriffs all of about 25-30 officers. They broke into the building guns drawn forcing everyone at gunpoint to the ground. Treatment from the government of this sorts should not be tolerated especially when California voted for prop 215 for medical marijuana."

Another Tool to add to your Arsenal of Resistance

Free Skool Santa Cruz writes: The police state is global. The police and the military are the armed thugs of the ruling class. We offer you another tool to add to your arsenal of resistance...
