Hi,

Peace One Day was sold out at its two screenings in the festival, so they are running another screening on Sunday. Docspace are using this screening to show the film to the European programmers, and have some free tickets available.

Extra Screening of Peace One Day Sunday 29th August UGC cinema 5 12.00 midday

Made by the central character, Jeremy Gilley tries to create a day for peace,
a global ceasefire. The film gathers speed and emotional intensity as Jeremy
negotiates the bureaucracy of the United Nations, the anger of the Arab
League, the fussiness of the UK government. By the time he enlists a growing tide
of support from luminaries as distinctive as Kofi Annan, Dave Stewart,
Shimon Perez, we realise this is a profoundly important film. Eventually, the Dalai Lama is writing letters on Jeremy's behalf, and the audience, against their own better judgment, believe
that an individual really can change the world.
