Hi everyone,

I am new to Indimedia, but followed the G8 events closely through the
site. I am a post-grad student with an interest in group dynamics and the
role of the internet, and would be very interested to chat or meet with
anyone who will talk to me. This would form part of my Masters degree in
Social Research. My academic backgroud is that of the anti-war movement.

My aim is to investigate how/if the structure of the internet is helping
diffuse groups with minimal budgets to organise, communicate and to
maintain strong group cohesion.
Ideally I would like to attend a group meeting and to discuss your
thoughts on a few topics and investigate how you go about group
maintenance. Gaining permission from any one person is impractical due to
the consensual nature of the groups organisation, so I would hope that if
you can, you could negotiate some consensus on me meeting the group. Often
in this situation no one person is willing to make the first move, and as
a result I never get a reply. Therfore I implore one sypathetic soul to
start the ball rolling with a response.

I would hope that my finnished piece will be benefical to the group in
maximising its potential, and aim to be as transparent as possible at all
times. The finnished piece will be published only within Indimedia's
academic papers section.

If there is any further way I can give back to the group, I would be glad
to help.

Yours Sincerely,

Jamie Greenan
