Dear Sir/Madam;
I am trying to identify potential new members for the Office of
Communications (Ofcom) Advisory Committee for Scotland and I'm hoping
that you will be able to help.
Ofcom is looking to appoint two members to the committee, which provides
advice on the interests and opinions of people in Scotland on
communications matters including television and radio broadcasting,
telecoms and new media. Members can come from a variety of backgrounds,
but must not be employed by organisations regulated by or lobbying
Ofcom.
The Committee meets up to four times a year and all members are asked to
commit a total of 12 days per year to this work. Members are paid an
annual fee plus expenses. Full details of the opportunity and an
application form can be found on http://www.capitaras.co.uk/acs.
Please note that this is a public appointment and as such it is also
being advertised in the Scottish press. Selections for appointments and
interviews will be done so on merit.
We hope that you know of some individuals who may be interested in
applying. It would be appreciated it if you could pass this information
on to anyone who you think may be suitably qualified or contact me
directly with their names and contact details.
Should you wish to discuss this further then please call me on 01256
383663
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Sara Ballinger
