Dear friends,

Yesterday the Scottish Parliament voted by a huge margin of 71 votes to
16, with 39 abstentions on a motion that "congratulates the majority of
Scottish MPs for voting on 14 March 2007 to reject the replacement of
Trident...and calls on the UK Government not to go ahead at this time with
the proposal in the White Paper"

Here are some new links and recent news articles with further information
that may be of interest...

News coverage on television last night in Scotland was generally woeful,
brief mention on 7pm BBC Scotland Radio bulletin and Mr Salmond managed to
drop in a sentence regarding Trident that made the cut of his recent
interview with Newsnight Scotland which aired last night. Further details
and some audio/video links via:

Due to the poor coverage up to this point (of a country/state signed-up to
the nuclear non-proliferation treaty actually beginning to take steps to
disarm - as is our obligation) you may wish to add comments to the
articles linked above or contact your local news and media centres to
express concern at the lack prominence of this issue in recent news
headlines.

Scottish Members of Parliament overwhelmingly reject Trident, but the
Trident program still exists at Faslane Naval Base in Scotland... it MUST
be closed and not relocated... progress, but still much work to do...

Best regards, peace and truth...

Jay :)
