Just a reminder that the next Forum meeting is this Sunday 13 April, and we're hosting a
speaker from the White Ribbon Campaign which seeks to involve men in the fight
to stop men's violence against women.

The campaign is about challenging the taboo nature of this crime, the silence
that can often protect a violent person and allow a violent relationship to
continue that way.

The statistics are awful: for women in Scotland who are survivors of domestic
abuse and sexual assault, a man was the perpetrator of violence in 98% of
cases. 1 in 4 women in Scotland are survivors of male violence, and it's
likely that we all already know someone in this position - but like most
survivors, she probably will not have talked about it.

As usual, the meeting will be at the Friends Meeting House, Victoria Terrace,
from 7pm - 9pm.
