The new test/demonstration site is http://scotland.imcscotland.org

It has the current database of articles and users imported, so you
should be able to log in with your usual username/password.

Getting the transfer of old articles right is kind of important, so more
eyes checking that import is done faithfully would be good. URLs should
be preserved, so if you find an article at:

http://scotland.indymedia.org/newswire/display/5436/index.php

it should also be found at:

http://scotland.imcscotland.org/newswire/display/5436/index.php

(for example)


The new comments module is in a usable state. Comment submission will
now look much like article submission, and images and other file
attachments can be added in the same way.

Due to comments being handled in the same way as articles, there is now
the concept of 'promoted comments'. At the moment this isn't used, but
could potentially be used to lift *additions* (ie comments which add
information relevant to the article) to the top of the list of comments,
leaving banter and crap-talk lower down.
