I agree. I feel IMC-Scot should focus on day to day stuff that people
face, including planning disputes, gentrification etc. instead of doing
mainly direct action reports.
I think IMC-scot could be something really significant if we did this:
we would be speaking to a good deal more people, rather than our own
subculture. People opposing planning, might be able to network more easily!
There will be the schools closures stuff coming up soon: the campaign
has been dormant, but one parents and teachers find out which schools
are to be closed they will revive it i think. We could do some really
good journalism for that. I plan to be involved in the campaign.
And Pollok park is being fenced off and turned into a 'Go Ape' adventure
park with £25 entry, and there seems to be a strong local campaign to
oppose it.
New planning legislation is coming into effect this year to speed up the
