Hi,
I still feel there are some unresolved issues with the Drupal site.
1.) First of all the seperation of "submit an article" and "submit an
image". Ideally people who submit pictures should be encouraged to write
an article with it as well.
2.) There is also no automatic picture resizing.
3.) The next problem is that we do not have a server.
4.) There is still a huge error message popping up when submiting an
article:
* notice: Undefined property: nid in
/home/infocouk/public_html/sites/all/modules/imc_alba/imceditor/imceditor.module
on line 387.
* notice: Undefined index: excl_mode in
/home/infocouk/public_html/sites/all/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor.module on
line 639.
* notice: Undefined index: excl_fields in
/home/infocouk/public_html/sites/all/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor.module on
line 639.
* notice: Undefined index: excl_paths in
/home/infocouk/public_html/sites/all/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor.module on
line 639.
* notice: Undefined index: simple_incl_fields in
/home/infocouk/public_html/sites/all/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor.module on
line 691.
* notice: Undefined index: simple_incl_paths in
/home/infocouk/public_html/sites/all/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor.module on
line 691.
5.) we should only allow postings in English and Gaelic.
6.) before we switch everybody should be able to try out the editorial and
administrative interface.
7.) instead of save it would need to read something like "publish your
news"
8.) audio and video upload
9.) i miss the seperated newswire, the otherpress section and the search
option as well as the mission statement, editorial guidelines etc.
10.) what about the hidden section?
11.) we would need to see if its possible to backdate articles.
12.) what about razorwire/breaking news ?
13.) I like what Belgium did to their frontpage, as to move away from the
features and have also a subsections for resyndicated headlines from Blogs
and press releases etc. we should be thinking of doing something similar -
imho - like have syndicated headline from the ACE website or the Camcorder
Guerillas atc.
14.) How would we move over the content? Would it be possible to do
automatically?
