Do you think the distinction between images, videos, etc, and articles
should be got rid of? This is easy enough to do.

yes. this is something that needs to be worked on.

Our greek server will do fine

What about Scots? ;)
The languages enabled were only to demonstrate what can be done.

Yes. I have created an editor user that you can play with.
Username: testeditor
password: password

Done

You can attach audio and video to an article.
There is a flash video module that converts uploaded videos to a
youtube-style embedded flash thing. I can't demonstrate it on
infoseed.co.uk because it needs ffmpeg. however,
scotland.indymedia.org's server does have this feature.

Yes. Mike mentioned the seperated newswire. I will work on it.
Otherpress also.
The search feature should work now. I had just set the permissions wrong.
I can't seem to take a database dump of the infoseed.co.uk site, so
adding mission statement and so on would be a waste of time as it would
have to be done again if we switch sites. Of course on the final site we
will have these things.

There is a link at the bottom of the newswire
http://infoseed.co.uk/?q=newswire/hidden

Drupal articles can be marked 'sticky' which means they remain at the
top of the page. I haven't added this feature to the editor interface
yet but it is accessible from the standard drupal admin interface.

yes that would be cool

There is a module to import dada databases to drupal. I'd like to
demonstrate it but imc scotland has 2 gigs of media and I haven't had
the time to find a recent subset of this to upload to infoseed.co.uk
