[imc-scotland-discussion] Translation into Gaelic

Hello all,

Well received the following email back from Davy the person that I say
might be up for translation of the site into Gaelic. Seems he is up to it,
and would like to start with the template... The other discussion on this
list seems to think that there is no point in doing this as we have no
gaelic posts, but maybe there would be more if it was Gaelic friendly?
Plus cant we get money from the Arts Council or someone for this type of
thing, then we could put together the news sheet for free??? Just a
thought.

If there is interest in doing this, contact Davy at the address below, or
I can be the contact... whatever works.

that should be grand! I would prefer just to translate the actual, I dunno
what webspeak for it is, structure or template for the site, so they could
have a page in Gaelic, or a version of the site in Gaelic, I don't know if
I'd be up for translating articles week in week out, but if they send me
the stuff I can have a look at it and see what I can do!

Stephen from the UNITY Centre here... well, I went to an scotland
indymedia meeting on tuesday night and they were talking and all of a
sudden you popped into my head!

They were discussing the fact that they would like to translate the site
into Gaelic and I thought, hey, you could do that! I thought it might be a
nice way to get into the activist scene without the intensity of the UNITY
Centre... So I said that I would contact you to see if you might be up for
it or if you just wanted to talk it over with some people from the
indymedia site...

Hope you are doing well, been awhile since I have seen you around the
Centre, but all goes well there... just about to open the charity shop in
Govan... so all the clothes have been moved out of the office! yeah!
