The short version:
* Can people who would be willing to help out with distributing leaflets
etc make themselves known to me?
* Especially if you are *already* doing some. Area, contact details, times
available would be useful to know.
* We should do some co-ordinated leafleting at this STUC demo
 - -> can discuss this at the meeting on Sunday

The detailed version:

Last night at the Indymedia meeting we talked a lot about DISTRIBUTION. We
decided that there was an opportunity to do this a lot better if we
co-ordinate and share the work.

There are:
* Anarchist Critic
* Burgh Angel
* Indymedia freesheet
* AF's Resistance
* Malicious Mischief
* Variant
* RIB (and other event) flyers

...who all need to do essentially the same work to get them out there into
peoples' hands.

There's a few ways the work could be shared:
* bundling the papers together to hand out
* share knowledge of venues (more below)
* a "mutual aid" agreement to get together to help distribute new issues
* co-ordinating trips out to blitz areas outside the city centre, e.g.
shopping centres
* getting together for to cover large events (e.g. this STUC march)

Currently there's not much in the way of co-ordination of this effort so
there's *massive* potential to improve it with (I think) relatively minimal
effort.

I think it needs someone to take it on / champion it to make it a success.
I can only do that for a month, then it would require someone else to take
over.

I suggest:
* finding out who would be willing to help with this, and how often
* asking the different newsletter groups if they're interested in helping
* collecting / sharing knowledge about what has been distributed and where
* testing this out by using the STUC demo at the end of the month to distro
bundles of these things together.

What do people think? Has anyone read this far?

I see this as a natural adjunct to what the stall sets out to do. People
who can't spend time at the stall could use it as a jump-off point for
going leafletting, or picking up needed flyers.

(The details of *how* this information about venues should be collected is
being looked at by Ben at the moment. Things that are useful to know about
them:
* willing to take things
* have been covered
* how often they should be topped up
* names of friendly people to speak to)
