[imc-scotland-discussion] indymedia email rationalisation

hia,

it is actually a condition of being part of the global indymedia network that
discussions about an indymedia project have to be on the lists.indymedia.org
domain, in order for discussions to be open, accountable and documented to the
community, as well as easy to find and read up.

Therefore if you change to anylist at indymediascotland.org you would not
considered to be part of the global indymedia network anymore as violating the
basic principles of Indymedia, which we all had to agree to at the beginning
of Indymedia Scotland. (Principles of Unity and that kind of stuff.)

Basically it seems to me that a change would mean that participation at the
website would become even more exclusive than it already is.
So at least a change (1) would make a whole lot of trouble than is currently
woth it, imho, and totally against the spirit of co-operation between all
indymedia projects.

Personally I do not think that the information list serves any purpose at the
moment and it doesn't seem to me that the contact list is particularily well
used or looked after.
