we.riseup.net is a sort of social networking site (a bit like facebook!)
for leftists, with a focus on political activity (rather than voyeurism,
narcissism and consumerism, as with facebook!)
It has to-do lists, polls, wiki-documents, discussions, votes,
committees and IRC, amongst other things, all hosted on a group's page.
Ben has already created a we.riseup.net group, and I think we should
start using it. It is a really useful tool, and might compensate for the
chronic inability to have regular f2f meetings! :)
I have started a provisional to-do list, with some proposals for things
that need done on the site, that everyone can get involved in.
If you think this might be a good idea, go to http://we.riseup.net to
create a 'we' account, and then ask Ben to add you to the group. Then we
can try it out, and see if it works as an organisational tool for our group.
Solidarity!
Jon
