So here are the details for the "independent journalism" event we were
invited to.
I've replied to say that it won't necessarily be me attending, but that I
would act as a contact point.
Anybody have a burning desire to speak at this event?

Dear Chris
Thanks for this. The event is about the future of news in Scotland. There's
a public lecture on Wed 28 April, followed by two days of seminar sessions,
all to be held at Strathclyde Uni near George Sq in the centre of Glasgow.
The session where we'd like an Indymedia representative is from 2-3.30 on
Thurs 29 April. It's to be about alternative/independent voices in online
news. There will also be someone from each of http://forargyll.com and
http://caledonianmercury.com. You mention bringing a couple of people, but
as we only have room in the venue for a maximum of 40, it would be best if
we had just a single Indymedia person, sorry; same applies to all other news
organisations coming. We can cover travel expenses -- just bring a receipt
for train/bus, or we can sort something out for petrol, if you drive. The
project is being organised by Prof Brian McNair at Strathclyde. I've cc'd
him in here so that he can send you the schedule and other info. Looking
forward to meeting you.
Cheers, graham

Dear Chris,
Graham Meikle is the person coordinating your intervention in the event.
He will be sending soon details of time and place in Glasgow and I we
will deal with covering travel expenses.
Thanks again for accepting to participate.
Best
Jairo

Hello
We could find a couple of people to attend, I think. They would probably
need their travel expenses covered.
Do you have a date set?
