[imc-sf-active] sf-active & php 5

I haven't tried this, but setting zend.ze1_compatibility_mode to true in 
the php.ini should make PHP5 work with code written for php4. The Object 
Oriented Programming model is completely different, so it's not very easy 
to just write code that will work for both.
