sf-active installs for several IMCs, including a couple that are
defunct:
This is a good idea, and much needed. It will be easier to light a
fire under people's asses if the deprecation of sf-active is
formalized, but more importantly, if we have a couple of well
supported, trivial migration paths to provide people.
I have experience with drupal and, unlike Mark, I didn't find
transitioning from sf-active to drupal to be all that easy, but this
may have been because of my attempt to do so using a DB dump, and not
the sf-active code itself (to remake nodes), or because of my lack of
drupal-foo causing me to try to fit the sf-active data into drupal in
the wrong way (specifically, where I got hung up on was mapping
comments and attachments into drupal)
That being said I never spent the amount of hours on it that I should
have, but I'd be more willing to invest time into it if it were
clearly something that was being used to decomission a large portion
of sf-active IMCs, instead of just a couple.
