Hey up,
First - I look forward to sitting down with people and talking! E-mail's a bad
idea when things get heated!
However, Chip - if you accuse me of being holier than thou again, I'll burn your
house down and then commit suicide. Or perhaps the other way round.
[Bad joke. Very bad joke. Sorry! Not gonna delete it though ;) ]

"Maybe we need to the right kind of outreach to the right people. After
all I think if we started allowing loads of conspiracy theories,
trolling etc. it would destroy Indymedia as a useful news resource."
Yeah - I think this is the right approach. At least initially, we should be
contacting people who are likely to concur with some or all of Indymedia's
mission statement, or at least have something useful to contribute to the
debate.
It's been good for me to listen to all of the wise IMC experience there is in
Sheffield. I think I now understand why the wheels would come off if we went
the route I was advocating.
So that solves my concern re the writer's workshop - there are plenty of
like-minded people out there to draw into IMC-land before we start worrying
about anything else.
And importantly, these like-minded people ain't gonna come from any one sector
of society!
This still leaves what to do about the kind of article that was hidden...
See no 2...!
