Passing this on for anyone who might be writing a feature
on this -- this is the first thing I have seen that says
he is currently detained in Dover -- I assumed he was in
Sheffield...

Stop the deportation of Mohammad Arrian. Demonstrate:

Mohammad Arrian  (DVE/314332) 
 
Mohammad, who is currently detained in Dover IRC, has
received notice that he is to be deported to Afghanistan
on 17th January 2006.  
 
Aged 34, Mohammad is from Afghanistan, though he fled the
country more than ten years ago. His mother, three
brothers and two sisters have Indefinite Leave to Remain
in the UK and they are settled in Sheffield, England. His
father was murdered in Afghanistan and as the eldest son,
Mohammad is now regarded as the head of the family. He has
no contacts or close family in Afghanistan now. He
believes that the warlords in power there would kill him
if they knew he had returned.

At both organisers have asked for some music and a period
of silent vigil. No speeches or party banners or newspaper
selling. It is important to focus on Arrian.  There is a
new petition to sign. All musicians welcome.
