Balloon race for Kyle
Hi, We were wondering if you would be able to help us with a charity event
we are trying to run through out the country. we are doing a fundraiser to
raise money to adopt a 6 year old boy from Eastern Europe who is
currently living in an institution. you can check for more details on the website.
The homestudy alone for England is in the region of £5000 with a total cost
of about £15000 to fetch him home. The children not adopted often do not
survive more than a few short years. We want to help but the cost is an issue
so we are running the following fundraiser to help save this child and to
help others who wish to adopt children like him.

Balloon race for Kyle

We are hoping to bring home Kyle. In order to do that we need to raise
money..lots of it. This is what we are planning...so please join us.

On the 23 July 2009 we will be releasing balloons across the world,
(although some organisations will release balloons early due to school holidays
etc)

Each balloon will have a numbered ticket so we know who it belongs to.
when the balloon is found the finder can email, telephone, or send the ticket
back to me. The ticket holder of the balloon that travels furthest will
receive a cash prize for their group, 10% of all tickets sold...tickets are
£2.00 each ($3.00).....so if we raise £10.00 you will receive £1.00. If we
raise £1000, the winning ticket holder will receive £100 for their group etc.
Every participating school and group will keep 10% of the money they raise
from the tickets they sell.
The winning individual and the finder of the winning ticket will also
receive a prize for themselves.
Prizes will be sent to the school, Scout/Guide group, youth club etc to
which you belong.
Closing date for return of balloon tickets will be 28 August. The ticket
number from the balloon that has travelled furthest will be announced on the
web site on that day. The winning organisation/person will be contacted in
person.

The winning ticket will be determined by the overall distance covered by
the balloon, i.e., the location of the ticket owner to the location of the
finder, e.g., Manchester to Calais. This means that we are able to sell
tickets to people across the world as it is the distance covered that we are
measuring.

we are contacting schools, Scouts, Guides, youth groups and anyone else
who can help. please get involved. the more people who join us the sooner
we can get Kyle home and help others just like him.
thanks you
Sandra
